会议通知——镍全生命周期管理研讨会

低碳转型已经成为全球共同的政策选择。镍在低碳转型的关键领域，如可再生能源、汽车和机械电动化、碳捕集使用封存、循环经济，都发挥不可或缺的作用。同样重要的，镍在生产、使用、回收利用的整个生命周期，都涉及可持续性问题。

国际镍协会很高兴与工信部国际经济技术合作中心、中国科学院城市环境研究所共同举办2022 年度镍全生命周期管理研讨会，邀请国内外资深专家分享专业研究成果，共同探讨“镍在低碳转型中的可持续性”。我们希望本次会议能够初步解答下列问题：

 有足够的镍资源支撑全球范围大规模快速低碳转型吗？

 如何评估镍对主要经济体低碳转型的关键程度？

 法规、大宗商品交易规则和行业自律行动对镍可持续性有哪些最新要求？

 中国低碳转型相关规划和法规政策中有哪些涉及镍可持续性的内容？

 如何确保镍全生命周期评估方法的一致性及数据的可比性？

Low carbon transition has become a common policy choice worldwide. Nickel plays an essentialrole in the priority areas of low carbon transition, including renewable energies, electrification of vehicles and machinery, CCUS (carbon capture, use and storage), as well as circular economy. Equally important, sustainability is a more and more eminent topic across key stages of nickel’s life cycle, especially production, use and recycling. 

The Nickel Institute is honored to organize this nickel Life Cycle Management Workshop in collaboration with MIIT-CIETC (Center for International Economic and Technological ooperation, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology) to discuss Nickel ustainability in the Low Carbon Transition. With the support of invited speakers sharing expertise in in different areas, the main objective of this workshop is to provide preliminary answers to the following questions.

 Are there enough nickel resources to support the low carbon transition globally?

 How to understand nickel criticality assessment by different regions? 

 What are the new requirements with respect to nickel sustainability in regulations, trading platform guidelines and industry initiatives? 

 How are the Chinese Five-year Plans and other regulatory policies shedding light on nickel sustainability?

 How to ensure harmonization in LCA methodology and comparability of data for nickel?

The workshop will be organized virtually via Zoom platform on November 23, with simultaneous translation to be provided. For those who confirm participation, we will provide Zoom Meeting link later. This registration for this event is free, please send your confirmation by November 18, 2022.
